Nashville, Tenn. (February 24, 2014) -- On Thursday, Feb. 26, David Briley for Vice Mayor will host a 'Ride and Dine' to discover firsthand Nashville's infrastructure and transit needs, followed by lunch to discuss our community's transportation system. Public transit riders, advocates, volunteers and supporters will join David on bus 56, departing at 12:14 PM from Music City Central to Calypso Cafe East.
What: David Briley is set to join supporters and volunteers aboard the Nashville bus route 56 to embark on a day of transit. The group will attend lunch together and discuss the transit services currently offered in Nashville and the impact transit will make on the future of Music City.
Where: The Ride and Diners will take the Nashville MTA bus 56 (Gallatin Pike BRT Lite) from Music City Central at 400 Charlotte Avenue (Bay 16) downtown and will ride to Couva Calypso Cafe East at 301 Gallatin Avenue. The group will eat lunch and return to Music City Central following the event via the inbound BRT Lite line.
When: The 56 departs Music City Central at 12:14 PM on Thursday, February 26th.
Why: David Briley is running for Vice Mayor in the upcoming municipal election for Davidson County. Briley believes that investments in infrastructure are crucial to the continued success of Nashville, and mass transit is a key element of that process.
